Too Fat For You

You're right… I shouldn’t be Fat.

I used to say “thin is in, but fat's where it’s at.”  But,no more.  Now, I’m just glad if I don’t get any bigger.  I found out, the hard way—after I got fat—that it’s difficult to lose weight.  I’ve dieted and exercised with little or no success.  Besides some health problems, social issues, and paying extra for "big-man" clothes, being overweight is definitely no fun.

The way I see it, some folks are prone to being heavy and some, thin.

As a Christian, I don’t believe in gluttony, either.  I rarely overeat, and when I do, the Lord reminds me that it’s wrong.

A lot of people don’t know that the religious leaders of Jesus’ day accused Him of being a glutton.  Here’s what they said… “The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!”  (I guess Jesus liked to eat and drink, too.  I must be in good company.  But, the truth is, He never sinned.)

Honestly, I’m doing the best I can, in this condition.

You're right… I might die before my time.

The truth is I’m ready!

I’m ready to die because, even though I have some physical problems, my spiritual problems have been solved.  I’m saved from my sins and ready for Heaven.  In fact, worse than being fat is being lost and dying in your sins, especially since they’ve already been paid for, on the cross, by the blood of Jesus.  He loved us and washed us from our sins, in His own blood.  Anyone who is sorry for their sin, repents, and receives Him by faith, will also be ready.

It’s obvious that I’m fat, but if you are lost in your sins you have a worse problem—a spiritual problem.  When someone dies in that condition they will pay for their own sins, at the White Throne Judgment of God.  Jesus said, If ye die in your sins, wither I go (Heaven) ye cannot come.  (John Eight)

I know that I might die sooner than my time.  But, the fact is, sooner or later, we will all die.  I acknowledged to you that I’m fat.  Will you acknowledge to God that you are a sinner, in need of salvation?

God is right…

The Bible says, you are a sinner...

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

"There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10, 23)

There is an Eternal payment for your sin...

"For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)

God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for your sins...

"...While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Receive Christ as your Saviour, TODAY!

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

PRAY this simple prayer, WITH ALL YOUR HEART:

Dear Jesus, I admit, I am a sinner, on my way to Hell.  I'm sorry for sinning against You.  I cease to rely on myself, my church, my religion, or anything that I might do to save me.  BY faith, I now receive you as my personal Saviour.  I am fully trusting the blood that You shed on the cross, as payment for ALL my sin.  Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye many KNOW that ye have eternal life..." (I John 5:13)

LATEST UPDATE...

While I was all gussied up, and so close to my goal (I have two pounds to go) I thought to take this picture of my three (count themone, two, three) salt bags (at fifty pounds each) that represent the hundred and fifty pounds I lost since July 13, 2012.  (Eight months so far!)  I hope that this encourages you to do likewise.
